as already announced its lineup for the event. Among the many vehicles that are already on sale, Mitsubishi will also be bringing the Concept Global Small (show model). This concept car is really no different than all of the other small cars coming out as its main goal is to be compact, affordable, and highly fuel efficient.

The Concept Global Small is a preview version of a new model that will go into production starting March 2012 at the MMC’s third factory in Thailand. Despite its compact sizes, the new Concept Global Small offers enough interior room for five adults and offers good maneuverability and easy operation.

The concept will be powered by a choice of 1.0 or 1.2 liter compact engines equipped with a regenerative braking system and start-stop mechanism. Other features will include reduced running resistance in the engine, new-generation CVT, brakes, and tires, and a body shape that gre

uite a reputation as a special-edition friendly model. We’ve already seen a number of them in the past, but it seems that Fiat isn’t done with releasing special edition models.

The latest to come out of the Fiat woodwork is the 500 Bicolore Edition, which the Italian automaker revealed at the Bologna Motor Show. So what sets this particular 500 apart from other models?

Well, taking from its name ‘bicolore’, Fiat dressed up the car in a two-tone paint finish comprising of white on top and red on the bottom, separated by a line where the bonnet meets the body. Similarly, Fiat used the same treatment on the inside of the passenger compartment, which should add more life to the car’s interior.

Apart from that, Fiat left everything the way it was, which really isn’t so much as a bad thing because added features mean increased cost.

In the end, we liked the way Fiat treat

a Motors released some good news for those eagerly awaiting the electric sports car’s pending introduction. After a final round of crash tests, the Tesla now meets U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety StandardsWith that hurdle cleared, the car officially meets DOT and EPA requirements to be sold in the United States. Production is scheduled to begin March 17 of this year. P1 will arrive at Tesla Motors headquarters next week for delivery to customer Elon Musk, Chairman of Tesla Meparately, Tesla Motors engineers have designed a permanent solution for mass production that supports the original specification of 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds.

The planned solution has some very positive benefits for our customers. Instead of a complex 2-speed transmission design, Tesla will achieve the original performance goals with a simpler one-speed unit mated to a higher rated Power Electronics Module (PEM.)

The existing motor will be modified to have advanced cooling capabilities to handle the additional power. The permanent transmission unit will be engineered to handle the higher torque of the powertrain.

The planned solution reduces program risk, provides better efficiency, lower weight, equal or better range, better thermal performance and quicker quarter mile acceleration due to the elimination of the need to shift gears.

The planned solution incorporates the latest developments of our powertrain team which has been continually improving on Tesla’s core technology.

Early production will proceed at a limited rate and then ramp up to full production when the permanent powertrain solution is production ready later this year.

The upgrade from the interim solution to the higher power, permanent solution will be provided to our customers free of charge when

Cross association with Land Rover goes back to 1954, when Land Rover supplied a vehicle to the British Red Cross for use in Dubai as a mobile dispensary,” said James Johnstone, chairman for the British Red Cross Ball. “We are thrilled that Land Rover continues to support our vital humanitarian work today. Funds raised from auctioning this vehicle will go towards the work of the Red Cross in the UK and overseas, which this year has included the UK floods, Darfur Crisis and ongoing HIV work in Africa.”

While most of the 25,000 Defenders produced each year are working tools for everyone from farmers and foresters to aid agencies, the SVX is the most stylish and feature-packed version that Land Rover has ever pro

New York auto show, Land Rover rolled out updates to its top-of-the-line vehicles, showing a new direction for the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, and renaming the LR3 as the LR4. All vehicles share a new 5-liter V-8 engine, with a supercharged version available in the Range Rovers, and new cabin tech, which integrates the navigation and audio control. iPod integration is finally available, at long last, and Land Rover will make HD radio available.

uld not generally be considered prototypes any more than Land Rovers around the World fitted with various engines from a multitude of manufacturers. The British Army tests never considered the Land Rover as anything other than a platform to test the engine and there were no serious considerations for it’s eventual use in the Land Rovers being developed by the Rover Company at the time. The engine on the other hand was to be the standard 4 cylinder power plant for all British Army “Fighting Vehicles” of that size as there were also B60 and B80 engines destined for larger/heavier vehicles such as the Ferret scout car and the Saracen armored personnel carrier. These later engines were tested using Austin and other trucks as the test plat! form, without intention to use them in the particular brand trucks. Some of the tests on the Rolls Royce B40 engine for the British Army were actually performed by the Australian Army and the reports of those Australian tests can be sourced from the Australian National Archives. Although as a foreign national you may not meet the criteria for access. However having seen and read a number of the original reports, I can attest to the fact that the Army Testing Establishment was very clear that the modified 80″ Land Rovers were nothing more than test beds. In fact simultaneously with the Rolls Royce B40 tests in Australia was the test of a GM 2.28 litre 6 cylinder engine in another 80″ Land Rover, these tests were conducted between December 1951 and mid 1952. The British Army number of the B40/Land Rover used in Australia was 11B C77, you may be able to find out more information as to the chassis number of the car in question. The doors on the 86″ are not tapered like the 80″, but are straight. There are no sills under the doors. The headlamp rims are body colored. From the side, the bottom portion, behind the front tire, of the front wing is equal in length to the bottom portion, ahead of the rear tire, of the rear box.

g to Malaysia. The previous gen R26 (the one with the big booty) was a great drive, and it would be interesting to see how Renault Sport would improve on the experience, if it could.

The 250 Cup was launched two weeks ago at Sepang, and it looks like TC Euro Cars has ticked all the right boxes and pushed all the right enthusiast buttons. At just below RM230K, this king of hot hatches comes with 250 turbocharged horses, mechanical LSD, mega Brembos with slotted discs, Recaro seats, R.S. Monitor which reads out g-force and lap times (among other figures car nutse hot Megane stands in the world of hot hatchbacks. Like the Volkswagen Scirocco, Renault calls its three-door Megane a coupe – while the new body is much more than just two doors lopped off from the five-door Megane III, few will view this alongside purpose built coupes such as the Audi TT or Nissan 370Z.

In Europe, the Megane RS fights for the same buyer as the Scirocco R and Ford Focus RS, and with 250 hp and 340 Nm, the performance on offer is one (rather large) notch up from the Golf GTI and Scirocco 2.0 TSI. In th love) and the sole option of a six-speed manual gearbox.  result is 250 hp at 5,500 rpm and 340 Nm at 3,000 rpm, 80% of which (272 Nm) is available at 1,900 rpm. These figures are 20 hp and 30 Nm more than in the R26.

0-100 km/h is done in just 6.1 seconds on to a top speed of 245 km/h. That’s eight tenths of a second faster than a Golf GTI although it doesn’t feel that explosive in action. The big boost wave kicks in when you approach 2,500 rpm and it’s willing all the way to redline, which is about 6,500 rpm (there’s a customisable sound and light shift warning in the tacho).

The engine doesn’t sound spectacular, but there’s a blare at high revs that’s more audible from the rear seats than the fronts. I also love the way it pulls from low speed in high gears – this flexibility allows you to short shift your way up, stick it in fifHowp’ in the name is from Renault Sport’s Cup chassis, which is 10 mm lowered with uprated springs, specific dampers and thicker anti roll bars. Compared to the standard chassis, suspension flex has been reduced by 35% and 38% respectively for the front and rear. Aluminium pivots and lower arms reduce unsprung weight while ball joints are used in place of bearings for less friction.

With so much power going to the front wheels, torque steer is sure to be an issue. The R.S. Performance Hub front suspension allows for a steering axis that’s completely separated from the damper, unlike the typical MacPherson strut setup where the steering axis is attached to the ball joint of the lower arm and upper damper mounting. I still remember driving the Megane 225 F1 Team and wrestling with the wheel under full load, which was fun for awhile but a distraction thereafter. Only small hints of such drama exists in the 250.

Although some might scoff at the rear torsion beam suspension, let’s just say that sometimes it’s not what you have, but how you use it that counts. We don’t care, as long as it works well, and with their track record, I believe in those guys from Dieppe. What also works well are those brakes – four-pot Brembo fist about th

    Land Rover Defender

    25th January 2011

One of the surprises that I have taken (and I still have the first day at the Geneva Motor Show Land Rover Defender SVX special edition 60th anniversary occasion brand. His aesthetic is that which must be taken from the (V lgame ¡repetition) with a bar on the outside body and the high altitude of the ground. Go to the tires and spare trialero, but the sacrifice of stability on the road.

And realize that you really can be an acceptable compromise between goatiness bumpy and the correct method. Under the bar and suspension bit new, improved, and more direct routing and traction control system is intelligent and more brakes. Reduced roll centers, anti-roll bars and reinforced, mathematics, and large-scale suspension geometry has been spent. This is still a great machine, and there to get away from any reality, but all of a sudden and done, if not agility, and predictability. Naturally, the point where you should be reliable, rather than the Bible on heifering - making it the best in every way that you can easily assess. It also has better than they were before the control body, which increases the overall impact as a result of that feels smaller, though it is, of course not.

Of course, there was a wave of reconstruction throughout the range of Land Rover last few months, the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport-received greater attention in mid-life improvements, which should see them through a few good years so far . But this discovery is the best for everyone. Of course, all the promotions were necessary in an ordinary optical you want a new one: smoothed out bumpers, new head and tail lights, a new horizontal grille that makes it look a little less aggressive front wheelarches body color, so twinkly needs Holiday Birth of LED lights that spread among all the past few months. But real reforms are under the house where the counting really.

From the driver’s seat, and we immediately evaluate the internal, that are still usable, but more understandable figures. Less keys, more than one method. Add to the versatility of seven seats, and should not affect anything wrong with a social restraint, and you ‘ys the box round. Pack and drive by the new leadership of Olympic performance. At the Disco gets a new 3.0, respectively, a wonderful six diesel fuel that have emerged recently Jaguar XF. It is called, if you will be a special odd, Jaafar, V6D gen III BC, but the mix to get more luggery pregnancy and after it - no more, prosaically - left to right TDV6.
