    The Bell Aurens Longnose is the byproduct of two German Land Rover enthusiasts, Thomas Bell and Holger Kalvelage who got together through an online forum creating this one-of-a-kind off-roadster version of the classic Landie. Under the Bell Aurens Longnose’s never-ending bonnet lies a choice of two Rover V8 engines, a 4.6-litre with 235 Hp and a 5.0-litre delivering 280 Hp.

    The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) announced today that it has accepted the application of the former Ford owned Jaguar - Land Rover to become a member of ACEA. Their membership will start in July 2008. The current ACEA members are BMW Group, DAF Trucks, DaimlerChrysler, FIAT, Ford of Europe, General Motors Europe, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge, Porsche, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Renault, Scania, Toyota Motor Europe, Volkswagen and Volvo.

    Land Rover has announced that it will unveil a new, high-specification version of its Range Rover model at the British International Motor Show on July 22nd 2008. Dubbed ‘Autobiography’, the new flagship model receives more leather upholstery than any Range Rover before. The Autobiography’s facia, door casings, door bins, seats and centre console are all finished in leather. Even the floor mats are edged with leather.

    Edmiston, a luxury yacht brokerage and sales company has joined forces with Land Rover to create a program that will see top yacht designers crafting one-off-a-kind Range Rovers inspired from the world of luxury yachts. The two companies will kick off the program with the “Superyacht Range Rover Design Competition” in which seven top yacht designers took part, including Bannenberg, Tim Heywood, Andrew Winch, Terrence Disdale, Ken Freivokh, Redman Whiteley Dixon and Martin Francis.

    The winning design will be unveiled during the Monaco Yacht Show in late September. Edmiston states that visitors to the show will be able to place their orders for any of the exclusive Range Rover designs that even include a two-door cabriolet version. Delivery time will be between three and six months with prices ranging from €200,000 to € 800,000 or about or $300,000 to $1.2 million.
